Background:
MicroMeta approached me to redesign their entire component library and microscopes for their microscopy app. The goal of the app is to add metadata to different microscopy experiments and microscopes. I worked with the team to create icons and components that one could drag and drop onto the microscope. We worked extensively to create accurate components that fit the needs of the data inputters. The component library is approximately 70+ parts with two kinds of microscope canvases.

1. Create a Cohesive Realistic style to the components that users can recognize
2. Simplify the background canvas to allow users to focus on the components and not get lost in visual excess
3. Add clear labels to all components to aid new users or users in education
