Background:

Tastemakers Magazine is a music focused magazine devoted to making illustrative layouts for their written content. I worked with the magazine on multiple layouts and strove to keep illustration at the center of my designs. There is a focus on dynamic composition to push beyond traditional music magazine craftsmanship and design. Typography was encouraged to be bold and we pushed for the most engaging artwork to surround the articles. Working with a team of designers and under the art directors for the project , we created multiple spreads designed to honor the content and the musicians' work they investigate. Spreads were printed in semi annual issues and distributed in print and digital forms.
